A broken or missing radiator fan shroud can cause your engine to run warmer than usual. A broken fan shroud may also come in contact with your radiator fan’s blades and make noise while the fan is running.

IE If you install an STi block in a WRX at your friends shop, do not expect a warranty claim to come through if it explodes! Please use your best judgement.
